We booked a tour to visit Hobbiton and the Waitomo caves. The experience was superb and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Our tour guide Rachael was brilliant and very welcoming. We would happily book this again and would ask for Rachael as she made us feel so comfortable and really enhanced the overall trip. 5 out of 5 for atmosphere, trip duration and journey.

UNMISSABLE OPPORTUNITY!!!
The whole trip was amazing! From the pick up to the second breakfast to the tour of Hobbiton and then the caves was spectacular! Our driver Brenda was amazing! She was extremely knowledgeable and was very kind and helpful! Great driver as well! Our tour guide for Hobbiton, Flavion, was great! His energy and charisma showed how much he truly loves his job! We also got to meet the green dragon inn keeper (kitty cat Pickles), she is a 16 year old calico/tortie and is just as charming! Don’t pet her too much though and do not feed her she is on a strict diet (whoops)! The next stop was lunch where we had a savory and sweet option of our choice! It was refreshing and satiating for our next adventure to the caves! Our tour guides Bubba and trainee Wim? (Don’t know how to spell his name) were fantastic! Witty, fun, and adventurous! They told us all about the caves and then took us on a boat ride! They used ropes instead of paddles since the noise will disturb and harm the glow worms! After that experience we headed back to Auckland where we made an ice cream stop at tip top! PLEASE try the real fruit ice cream, you WILL NOT regret it!! This excursion was incredible and an unmissable opportunity! Thank you to all our guides and most importantly Brenda for the new knowledge and the safety!!

Thank you so much for an incredible first day in Auckland. Brenda, our tour trip guide was incredibly informative, knowledgable and nothing was too much trouble. Getting picked up directly from the hotel and dropped off the same made the experience much more enjoyable for our first day in Auckland - ensuring we werent worried about getting to a meeting point we couldnt find. Hobbiton and the Waitamo caves were a must see for anyone travelling near Auckland! We would 100% recommend this trip and would go again of we could.
