Amazing day. Long drive to site but Mike our driver and your guide was entertaining with a good balance of knowledge and quiet time. Hobbiton and the glow worms were both fun and worth the drive.

Hobbiton/Waitomo cave
We had such a brilliant day from start to finish! My husband is a fan of The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit, whereas I’ve never actually seen either, so I wasn’t sure how much I would enjoy Hobbiton — but I absolutely loved it! It was so beautiful, magical and interesting, even for someone who isn’t familiar with the films. Even landed lucky with the weather.
Then onto the glowworm caves. They were completely out of this world. I honestly don’t think you can appreciate how incredible they are until you see them for yourself — definitely one of the highlights of the trip!
A huge shout-out to our driver Steven, who really made the day. He was brilliant at giving us facts and stories about the places we passed along the way and sharing some of New Zealand’s history. I also really liked how he got everyone involved at the beginning with a little team bonding — introducing ourselves, where we were from and why we had come to New Zealand. It made the group feel really comfortable and connected.
All in all, a fantastic day with some really memorable experiences. Would absolutely recommend this tour! 🇳🇿✨

Unexpected and simply amazing
What an unexpected amazing morning at the movie set. Absolutely mind blowing. Lunch was nothing but a laugh sat down and took one bite of long awaited meat pie and oh no fire alarms start ringing. Needless to say we had to leave to get to caves. Caves are a natural wonder and guide Marlee up for missed lunch buying everyone the best ice cream

An exceptional driver & tour guide for your Hobbiton/Waitomo Glowworm Tour
Mike who is our driver and tour guide for this trip was exceptionally good, friendly and resourceful to the whole group which comprises of people from Japan, S. Korea, Singapore, Sydney and the USA. We all appreciate all the efforts and dedication he has put in to make this trip a very memorable and fun trip for all of us. Thank you Mike for all you have done for us.
