We had a wonderful experience with Cheeky Kiwi Tours, and our guide, Grant, was absolutely excellent.
I was visiting from Sydney, Australia, and this tour was one of the highlights of our trip to New Zealand. From the moment we started our journey to Hobbiton, Grant was friendly, professional and incredibly welcoming.
During the drive, he shared fascinating information about New Zealand’s heritage and history, particularly Māori culture and the history of both New Zealand. His knowledge and storytelling made the journey very interesting and enjoyable.
His hospitality was exceptional. He made sure we were comfortable and gave us plenty of time to freshen up before continuing our journey. The Hobbiton tour itself was fantastic, and Grant made the entire day relaxed, enjoyable and informative.
It was a very pleasant and memorable experience. I would highly recommend Grant as a tour guide to anyone visiting New Zealand.

Timmy was a great driver and travel host for the Hobbiton tour. Friendly, knowledgeable, polite and fully vested in the process. Ice Cream stop on the way back was a nice bonus.

We had a great time on the Hobbiton & Waitomo Caves tour with Cheeky Kiwi Travel. The drive took us through some beautiful New Zealand scenery, and all of the stops lived up to our expectations.
Both Hobbiton and the Waitomo Glowworm Caves were well worth visiting, and the tour was well organised throughout. It is a long day – the tour is around 12 hours – but for us it was definitely worth it.
A special mention to our guide, Hanoz, who did a great job throughout the day. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and helped make the journey enjoyable as well as the destinations themselves.
Overall, a very enjoyable day and a great way to experience both Hobbiton and Waitomo in one trip. We would definitely recommend it.
